Virginia is an active member of the Metal Art Society of Southern California (MASSC) and has been a jewelry fabricator for over 20 years, specializing in one-of-a-kind lapidary, inlay, form folding, found objects and ethnic designs.
Her knowledge and eclectic style is based on master classes taken with Carl Stanley, Victoria Lansford, Thomas Mann, Ben Neubauer, Lynne Merchant, Fred Zweig, John Cogswell, Joanna Gollberg, Joe Haemer and Anthony Chavez.
Native American artists include Richard Tsosie, Michael Kabotie, Lawrence Saufkie, Tsosie Taylor and Connie, David and Wayne Gaussoin.
Dimensional form folding techniques have been studied under Michael Good, Betty Helen Longhi, Pat Downing and Deb Jemmott.
Enameling techniques have been studied with Charity Hall, Suzanne Kuzner, Sue Matz and John Ahr.
